
Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte with Oat Milk (Vegan)
Matcha and Pumpkin Spice with Oat Milk creates a delicious Matcha latte to warm up those brisk fall days. This recipe makes enough for two, so cozy up with your favorite matcha lover or drink them both yourself.
Ingredients
1 tsp Tea Lover’s or Barista’s Matcha Tea
1 cup of water, between 165F and 185F
1 cup of oat milk
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice*
1 tbsp of pumpkin purée**
2 tsp maple syrup to taste
½ tsp cinnamon
Directions
1. Make a smooth thin matcha paste with 1 tsp of powder and ½ oz of hot but not boiling water.
2. Add 2 more ounces of water and whisk vigorously in a zig zag motion until tiny bubbles appear on the surface. Add remaining water.
3. Combine oat milk, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin purée, and maple syrup in a separate mug. Froth with a milk frother or a Matcha Bamboo Whisk. Pour onto matcha tea.
4. Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon or add whipped cream and then sprinkle with cinnamon.
How to Make Pumpkin Pie Spice
¼ tsp ground allspice or cardamom
¼ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix thoroughly, makes approximately 2 teaspoons.
How to Make Pumpkin Purée
Bake two halves of a baking pumpkin until the flesh is soft, then scoop out the insides, minus the seeds, and blend in a blender, add salt to taste.
