
Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte (Vegan Optional)!
Matcha and Pumpkin Spice with Oat Milk creates a delicious My Matcha Life® latte to warm up those brisk fall days. This recipe makes enough for two, so cozy up with your favorite matcha lover or drink them both yourself.
Ingredients
1 tsp Tea Lover’s or Barista’s Matcha
1 cup of water, between 165F and 185F
1 cup of oat-milk (or milk of your choice)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice*
1 tbsp of purée**
2 tsp maple syrup to taste
½ tsp cinnamon
Directions
1. In a large mug or Matcha Bowl, make a smooth thin matcha paste with 1 tsp of powder and ½ oz of hot but not boiling water.
2. Add 2 more ounces of water and whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion.
3. Combine oat milk, pumpkin pie spice and purée, and maple syrup in a separate mug. Froth with a milk frother or a Matcha Bamboo Whisk. Pour onto matcha tea.
4. Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon and matcha or add vegan whip cream (or regular whip cream if desired) and then sprinkle with cinnamon.
How to Make Pumpkin Pie Spice
1. ¼ tsp ground all-spice or cardamom
2. ¼ tsp ground cloves
3. ¼ tsp ground ginger
4. 1 tsp ground nutmeg
5. 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Combine and mix thoroughly. Makes approximately 2 teaspoons.
How to Make Pumpkin Purée
Bake two halves of a baking pumpkin until the flesh is soft, then scoop out the insides, minus the seeds, and blend in a blender. Add salt to taste.
