Pecan Pear Goat Cheese Salad with Matcha Vinaigrette Recipe


2 heads of lettuce (romaine or butter)
1 pear, sliced
1 cup strawberries, sliced
2 avocados, diced
1 cup goat cheese or feta, diced
1 cup pecans
¼ cup sugar


1 ½ tsp. Foodie’s Matcha Tea
⅓ cup olive oil
¼ cup red wine vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1 tablespoon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper


1. Place sugar and pecans in a pan and stir over medium heat until pecans are caramelized.
2. Take off heat and allow to cool, then break into pieces.
3. Wash and chop lettuce then add in pear, strawberries, avocado and cheese.
4. In a sealed jar or plastic container, combine all salad dressing ingredients, shake until thoroughly mixed.
5. Drizzle dressing over salad. Garnish with the caramelized pecans, toss and serve.
